Come on in my Kitchen | Robert Johnson Live

Offenbach is a city that probably hasn't made it onto the radar of Berlin scenesters, except maybe because it's right next to Frankfurt. And because of a club that has an impeccable reputation for being one of the best Tech-House locations in the country: The Robert Johnson is known for its straight, no-frills sound and puristic décor (white walls, a balcony, not much else), an extremely high grade sound system and guests that like to show up all in white or black. And, last but not least, for the steady stream of renowned DJs spinning records for the club and the Robert Johnson record label.

For Robert Johnson's 13-year anniversary, the club plans to tour the country. Tonight, the entire crew, including Ata, Roman Flügel and Oliver Hafenbauer will stop by the Panorama Bar at Berghain, with Arto Mwambe playing a live set. It will be a long night with a lot of sweat and the characteristic sound that so many love about the special guest from Offenbach.

Next to a treasure box of musical delights, the Robert Johnson has also recently released a book of visual ones. "Come on in my Kitchen" was published by Swiss art publishers Ringier. It pays tribute to the club's best years with photographs, personal texts and anecdotes without drifting into eye-watering nostalgia. (isi)
