Perfomance-Marathon | 60 Artists, 45 Minutes

More than 60 artists will perform at the Acud Kunstverein this weekend. The challenge? To capture audiences in time slots of no more than 45 minutes, including décor and clean-up.

"The artists picked and signed up for their time slots via an online template on a first come first serve basis" explained Florian Feigl, one of the promoters of the event, which is sort of like an open stage for performance artists, except with extreme conditions. "But there was also a selective process where we excluded those acts that just didn't seem to fit because we have this strict time table and besides that, we're a no-budget/no-profit initiative, so we couldn't  consider anyone that wanted two hours for their performance" said Feigl.   

If you're as freaky as these artists, all that's left to do is stock up on coffee or Club Mate and make Acud your home from Friday 6pm to Sunday 6pm. You definitely won't be bored because there won't be any gaps in the program. If you just want to see one or two specific acts, all it takes is a modest admission of three euros. (ihe)
