Wo die Dumpling-Manufaktur ist,
haben wir mittlerweile herausgefunden:
Es ist die Dunckerstraße 60.
Nur wann sie eröffnet,
steht leider noch nicht fest.
Kunstevent
24. August 2011
The Pohl-Position art event is ringing in its next round – with a new organizational team and date. It's because Berlin's autumn calendar is practically overflowing with art events, like the ABC art fair that a lot of Pohlstraße artists wanted to take part in as well. So Andreas Kuhn and Reinhold Gottwald decided to move things back another two weeks, in turn causing problems for Gottwald who has now been replaced as an organizer by gallerist Peter Herrmann, though he will still be participating as an exhibitor. The new date will be September 24, but the concept remains the same. Several artists have already RSVP-ed.
These include Peter Lindenberg, Anita Staud, Andrea Wallgren and Henner Kuckuck.. Both the Galerie Gilla Lörcher and cubus-m galleries and the Camaro Foundation.
Artist and curator Jörg Hasheider has already put his “Perlenfischen” installation – an oversized mobile named after a quote by Hanna Arendt – on display at Pohlstraße: “Mobiles always have this combination of instability and chaos, similar to our brains and the perceptual process where only a fraction of the information we take in is actually utilized”, explains Hasheider. The giant construction is fitted with around twenty two-dimentional pairs of eyes dangling from its framework, each with a layer of mirror foil on the back. As the artist leans back in an armchair next to his creation in the sun, he expresses that “I live here myself and believe that this will be an incredibly important day for the entire neighborhood!"
