William & Kate | Wedding Frenzy in Berlin

Finally! Another royal wedding. It's bin a while since viewers in these parts could get themselves excited about regal affairs. But we've had an eye on the Windsor family ever since Princess Di.

Public viewing spots have been popping up throughout Berlin, enabling die-hard fans and secret devotees to get their kicks from some high-class knot-tying. While the High Tea Event at the Ritz is, of course, hopelessly booked out, numerous alternatives are offering Friday nights of pomp and splendour.

Head over to Potsdamer Platz for an extended lunch break. N24 will broadcast live from London at Marlene-Dietrich-Platz and all through the Arcaden.

Unfortunately, “Willkat”'s special day does not qualify as a bank holiday for us, which means that a lot of working folk will probably miss out on the daytime fun. But there is hope. The Mövenpick Hotel will be providing after-work entertainment with a recording of this morning's events, along with “High Tea” tarts, scones and sandwiches. Chief bartender Jan Rauschert will be whipping up special cocktails, all hat-clad ladies will receive a drink on the house.

Pop a cork or down a “Herrengedeck” at Brunnen 70. Be sure to follow the royal dress code and top off your outfit with one of the free mustaches you'll find at the door. Move on to the bar to get some rice, orbs, crowns and tarts to throw around. The Dirty Honkers and Ziveli Orkestar will be mixing it up with Zigan music and French chansons while cellist Kostja Picunda will be playing the elevator.
