Austrian ambassador Ralph Scheide cut the cake alongside Patissiere Sandra Gatzlaff (left) and then relaxed with a glass of Schilcher sparkling wine while Martin Hartmann spoke about the origins of the torte and Desiree Nick (right) radiated a certain noblesse on this night that was completely dedicated to the new Sissi Torte.
Desiree Nick, unfazed by nobility, noticeably enjoyed the imperial treats served on this special occasion. Nick, an actress, cabaret artist and winner of the German version of the tv show "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" is currently researching secret royal recipes.
Wieland Speck, director of the Panorama section of the Berlinale, gobbled up two pieces of chocolate cake. Speck spends half of the year travelling around the world and the other half enjyoing his private life, which for him means cooking at home and rarely eating out, except maybe at the Sissi restaurant, which feels a little like home.
Gerhard Hoffmann, an allround artist and a figurehead for the gay and lesbian street fair in Schöneberg, was more into the Buffet stacked with Leberkäse and potatoe salad.
Elisabeth and Wilhelm Andraschko supplied the coffee flavor in the cake. They are experienced coffee vendors.

A culinary event in the city wouldn't be complete without Stephan Elfenberg of Feinschmecker magazine and Manuela Blisse, a journalist and hotel tester, there to check it out.
